Job Purpose and Impact

The Advisor, Product & Agile Coach plays a critical role in enabling Cargill's product transformation. This role coaches teams and leaders to adopt modern product management and agile practices, build strong discovery and delivery capabilities, and continuously improve how value is created for customers and the business.

In this role, you will partner with product teams, product managers, engineering managers, and business leaders to strengthen product behaviors, reinforce agile principles, and support the development of high‑performing, customer‑centric teams. You will also contribute to the strategy, design, and implementation of the enterprise product operating model and transformation roadmap.

This is a senior, hands‑on role requiring deep expertise in product thinking, team coaching, and organizational change.

  • Key Accountabilities
  • Coach and mentor product teams and leaders in product strategy, discovery, agile delivery, experimentation, and outcome‑focused planning.
  • Champion product thinking and agile values across the enterprise to build lasting habits, improve value flow, and enhance customer and stakeholder outcomes.
  • Design and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and learning experiences that build organizational capability and reinforce continuous learning.
  • Contribute to the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the enterprise product transformation, including operating model design, coaching standards, and adoption practices.
  • Guide teams in creating clear product strategies, measurable outcomes, roadmaps, and backlogs that enable effective prioritization and impactful user experiences.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to shape intake, prioritization, portfolio alignment, and cross‑team coordination.
  • Coach teams on managing risk and uncertainty through experimentation, user feedback, and feasibility/value assessment.
  • Identify systemic impediments and influence leaders to remove barriers that limit team autonomy, predictability, or value delivery.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across multiple domains, coordinating with internal and external partners to ensure solutions are aligned and scalable.
  • Independently navigate complex coaching and product challenges, escalating only the most critical issues.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (typically 5+ in product, agile, or related roles)

  • Strong knowledge of product management and agile methodologies

  • Experience coaching cross‑functional teams and influencing stakeholders

  • The shift timings should have a minimum 3 hour overlap with Wayzata (7 am to 10 am).

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified agile coach or practitioner

  • Experience contributing to or leading transformation or operating model change efforts

  • Hands‑on experience within a software product team (e.g., engineering, design, QA, product ownership)

  • Experience as a product manager, product owner, business analyst, or similar product role

  • Proven ability to identify organizational needs and develop strategies to address them
