Job Purpose and Impact:
La planta situada en Martorell, dedicada a la fabricación de almidones, glucosas y derivados requiere de una persona especialista en seguridad, salud y medioambiente para reforzar la estructura del departamento de EHS.
The EHS Specialist gives support the management of EHS programs at plant level, ensuring compliance with local regulations, corporate standards and management systems (e.g., ISO and PSM where applicable). This role provides basic specialized knowledge to apply safe and compliant operational practices and supports compliance with policies, regulations, processes and audits.
- Key Accountabilities
- Continuous interaction with operators and plant supervisors to facilitate the adoption of safety, health, and environmental processes.
- Understanding and execution of environment, health & safety processes, activities and controls at plant level.
- Review permits and/or work procedures, break down compliance requirements and tasks, and monitor environmental activities in the areas of water management, waste handling, and air quality control.
- Identify company and legal requirements and integrate them into site-level procedures, tools and work instructions.
- Manage recordkeeping, analysis and reporting of environment, health and safety KPIs; identify improvement and risk mitigation opportunities.
- Prepare and support audits, governmental inspections and customer visits; collect data and action plans management.
- Deliver training in the areas of safety, health, and environment at a basic level or focused on corporate standards.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of emergency response plans and the coordination of drills.
- Collaborate in investigations of safety, health, and environmental incidents.
- Carry out operational control for aspects not assigned to other departments, ensuring alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements..
- Handle basic issues under direct supervision and escalate more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Higher Vocational Training in Occupational Risk Prevention
- Experience in basic environmental management (DARI, SDR, ACA communications, etc.)
- English proficiency at A2/B1 level
- Fluency in Spanish
