The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Systems Engineer (Level 2) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud platform management, deployment, and monitoring, with a focus on AWS and Azure. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud service models, microservices architecture, and scripting/automation. The Cloud Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while ensuring security best practices and compliance requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, deploy, and monitor cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Design and implement microservices architecture within the cloud environment.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools using Python, PowerShell, or Bash to streamline cloud operations.
- Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure by adhering to best practices and Responsible AI (RAI) policies.
- Manage operating systems (Linux and Windows Server) within the cloud environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve cloud-related issues.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, including serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and AI cloud tools.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members on cloud-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree is desired.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in cloud platform management, deployment, and monitoring (AWS, Azure).

Clearance: TS/SCI
Technical Skills:
- Good understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud architecture.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
- Solid understanding of network concepts such as subnetting, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience managing operating systems like Linux and Windows Server.
- Awareness of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with cloud serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and AI cloud tools and capabilities.
- Knowledge of Responsible AI (RAI) policies.
Certifications:
- Security
- Cloud Practitioner
- Azure Fundamentals
- Microsoft Azure Administrator
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

_________________________________________________________________________Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$79,400 - $162,700
