We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Technical Leader to join and work with an R&D Software Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing enterprise-level software solutions, the ability to translate customer requirements into comprehensive technical designs, practical project management skills and experiences, and team management. This role requires leadership in technical development and working with the technical developers to deliver high-quality results.

  • You will work together with R&D team responsible for the design and development of solutions across on-premise, on-cloud, and hybrid environments.

  • You will be assigned to take project and product responsibility of BCI China software projects, such as, NEXEED IAS, Bosch Semantic Stack, and localized software for manufacturing, logistics, maintenance management, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with cloud platforms such as Azure-CN, Huawei Cloud, and other mainstream cloud providers to ensure seamless deployment and scalability of solutions.

  • Manage the entire software development lifecycle from design to deployment, leveraging Agile development practices and modern DevOps tools like Azure DevOps.

  • Lead efforts in project, product and technology management, project planning, and execution, ensuring timely delivery of projects within budget and quality constraints.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to align technology solutions with business needs and customer requirements.

  • trouble shooting on complex solutions and technical difficulties during project implementation

  • Provide expertise in cloud technologies, software architecture design, and quality management to enhance product performance and reliability.

  • Keep close interaction with customer and product manager to do project planning, project management and coordination

  • Manage multiple projects and resources efficiently, balancing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Coaching of junior engineers and external suppliers in the projects and review of supplied software

  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning and improvement within the R&D group.

  1. Major in computer science or related (Excellent Bachelor, preferred Master and above), international education background is a plus;

  2. 8+ years of experience in R&D, software development, cloud computing, and industrial software background is preferred, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  3. Knowledge of NEXEED IAS, Bosch Semantic Stack, and custom solutions for manufacturing, logistics, and maintenance management is a plus.

  4. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders, including vendors and partners.

  5. Successful track record of managing end-to-end software development in complex, multitasking environments.

  6. Experience with full software lifecycle management, from initial concept to release and post-launch support.

  7. Deep understanding of software architecture design, development, and quality management.

  8. Sound knowledge of development and operation methods related to agile software.

  9. Excellent project management and communication skills.

  10. Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent, familiar with arc42 to construct, communicate, and document the software architecture

  11. Experiences on Microsoft Azure, Huawei Cloud or AWS;

  12. Proven expertise in Java, .NET, Angular, Azure DevOps, and Agile development methodologies.

  13. Good knowledge on data connectivity with hardware equipment, proficiency in TCP/IP based network communication protocol design and programming, and OPC protocol communication

  14. Experience with databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.), RESTful APIs, and front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or similar).

  15. Experience on Docker container engine and Docker ecosystem technology, master Kubernetes and other container orchestration tools and related ecosystems, such as Ceph, Traefix, Istio, etc., experience in the production environment is preferred

  16. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

  17. Advanced spoken and written English is a must
