As a leader in electrical engineering and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design, we’re looking for you to solve complex technical challenges. Your client will trust you to not only to help test, design, and develop specific algorithms in FPGAs, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. You’ll share your skills with a hardware team focused on digital design and algorithm testing with FPGAs while broadening your skillset into areas supporting radio frequency (RF) modeling and simulation. You will work alongside RF or radar modeling and simulation engineers and compare model outputs with corresponding hardware implementations to provide validation of threat representations. You Have:

  • 3 years of experience in digital design through HDL and schematic layout

  • Experience with using Vivado

  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing mathematics and implementing in synthesizable HDL

  • Experience with scientific analysis software, such as MATLAB

  • Experience with benchtop equipment, including Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Arbitrary Waveform Generator, and Vector Signal Generator

  • Experience with command line tools such as Linux Bash

  • Knowledge of commercial RF and digital component and assembly distributers for rapid prototyping purposes

  • Knowledge of RF signal propagation chain configurations, wideband RF signal acquisition and generation concepts, and associated development processes with FPGAs

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • 5 years of experience in digital design through HDL and schematic layout

  • Knowledge of RADAR and Electromagnetic Warfare, including EA and Electronic Support (ES) concepts

  • Experience with electrical circuit design and fabrication processes with printed circuit board development

  • Experience with other tools for FPGA development such as AMD Vitis or Intel Quartus

  • Experience with EDA tools for HDL and RTL simulation, including Model Sim and Questa, Xcelium, VCS, or Aldec

  • Experience with benchtop equipment and their more advanced operating modes, such as programming and interacting via API

  • Knowledge of embedded Linux and RTOS development, including U-Boot, yocto, Bit Bake and Open Embedded, or device tree components

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
