Regional FRCS Authorization SME:
The Opportunity:
Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to government agencies. In all of this “cyber noise,” how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you—an information security risk specialist who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.
As an information security risk specialist on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with the Marine Corps by providing technical and analytical support. You will coordinate with supported installations within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) to identify, address, and resolve issues related to Authority to Operate (ATOs), system integration and cybersecurity. As a SME in one of four Regions, you will coordinate with the command and other Regional POCs to further the standardization of enterprise-level architectures, processes, policies and guidance.
You’ll work with your client to ensure the compliance and security of their Facility Related Control Systems (FRCS) in order to safeguard Marine Corps’ critical infrastructure, facilities and systems.
How You'll Contribute:
-
Resolve challenges in real time, working collaboratively with headquarters, regional and installation personnel to identify solutions and develop relevant courses of action (COAs) for leadership.
-
Facilitate data collection and verification for RMF documentation, including inventories, Security Plans, and RMF package preparation.
-
Support training to enhance local cybersecurity capabilities and knowledge of FRCS policies, standards, and guidance.
-
Address integration challenges to align Regional FRCS systems with enterprise architecture and ensure continued operational compliance.
-
Assist installations with AOR in implementing corrective actions identified during cyber hygiene inspections, red team exercises, or other assessments.
-
Assist in the development, review and staffing of enterprise-level FRCS policy, processes, and guidance.
-
Proactively participate in or facilitate various FRCS Working Groups, Technical Advisory Groups, or other meetings as needed.
Join us. The world can’t wait.
You Have:
-
10 years of experience supporting the review or development of documentation supporting the assessment and authorization of hardware, software, IT, or OT
-
Experience supporting high-visibility or mission-critical tasks and engaging directly with clients and stakeholders at various levels
-
Experience with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and associated artifacts, processes, and policies
-
Experience with the development and maintenance of technical documentation
-
Experience with MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and Share Point and Teams for document management and collaboration
-
Ability to be an organized self-starter and perform duties and manage time independently, ensuring high-quality client-ready deliverables
-
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with various levels of leadership within an organization, including presenting technical data or solutions to non-technical audiences
