招聘
Senior Editor, Americas Editing Hub, New York
Bloomberg News is looking for an experienced and versatile editor to join the Americas Editing Hub. As part of a team with a broad and high-profile mandate, you will help marshal the biggest and most-ambitious breaking-news stories and long-form features across the region.
You should be a strong writer who is comfortable producing quick, smart and witty pieces, in addition to richly detailed multimedia projects. The breadth and scope of topics you'll be expected to handle are vast - from business to economics, politics to finance, health to tech. We're looking for a self-starter with an ability to demystify markets and macroeconomics, and a passion for telling stories at the intersection of money and power.
You'll have a knack for capturing ideas that are most relevant to Bloomberg's audience by sifting through the trends and developments that shape the news cycle in the region. You will be expected to edit and present stories in clear and exciting ways for all platforms, including the Bloomberg Terminal, website and magazines, and build relationships with teams across the newsroom.
Key requirements:
- Strong writing skills and the ability to produce sophisticated stories
- Ideas for new and exciting ways to capture the reader's imagination
- Sound news judgement and a talent for looking beyond the obvious story
- A willingness to work well within a team and with others across the newsroom
- Digital and multimedia skills, and a strong visual sensibility, would be an asset
- A sense of humor is welcome
