About this role

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior commercial leader to drive the growth and adoption of Aladdin—Black Rock’s enterprise investment and risk management platform—across Korea. This Director-level role focuses on originating, shaping, and closing enterprise technology opportunities with leading financial institutions. The ideal candidate brings deep experience selling complex enterprise platforms or managed services and demonstrates strong understanding of investment processes, risk management, and operating models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a Korea‑specific business development strategy, building a high‑quality pipeline and driving the adoption of Aladdin across Asset Managers, Insurance companies, Pension Funds, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Securities firms, and banks.

  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles end‑to‑end, from initial outreach and qualification through solution design, commercial negotiation, contracting, and transition to implementation.

  • Engage clients through a consultative selling approach, diagnosing operating model pain points and aligning Aladdin’s integrated front‑to‑back capabilities to their strategic objectives.

  • Establish strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, becoming a long‑term partner across investment, risk, operations, and technology teams.

  • Collaborate extensively with partner teams to cross‑sell adjacent technology and data services, especially for private markets and multi‑asset workflows.

  • Work closely with regional and global Aladdin Client Business teams, product groups, legal/commercial teams, and executive leadership to ensure unified engagement and excellent client experience.

  • Represent evolving client needs internally, providing structured feedback to leadership and product teams on market signals, competitive dynamics, and emerging themes.

  • Deliver persuasive client presentations, demos, RFP responses, and commercial proposals informed by client motivations and strategic priorities.

  • Identify and harvest revenue opportunities within existing clients, partnering with account executives and technical specialists to broaden platform adoption.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience selling complex enterprise software or managed services, ideally within financial technology (e.g., OMS, RMS, EMS, portfolio management, risk systems, private markets platforms).

  • Strong understanding of the Korean financial ecosystem, with established senior‑level industry relationships.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing multi‑stakeholder enterprise deals.

  • Deep familiarity with financial markets; experience or knowledge of alternatives/private markets is a plus.

  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills, with ability to navigate procurement, risk, legal, and technology stakeholders.

  • Self‑starter, capable of operating independently in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.

  • Highly collaborative, with demonstrated ability to partner across global teams and influence without authority.

  • Organized, diligent, and committed to excellence in client engagement and internal execution.

  • Languages: Native/fluent Korean required; strong English proficiency essential. Additional Asian languages helpful but not mandatory**.**
