Join our Global Tax Team:

Our Global Tax Team provides support and advice for all tax processes for Baker Hughes. We ensure the accuracy of forecasting, Tax provision, quarterly and annual close and settlement. We oversee Tax compliance; we work with reporting tools to provide information for Tax audits and ensure compliance with company and corporate policies.

As a Tax Specialist, you will have the opportunity to gain International Tax experience with a global energy technology company. You will interact with key business functions to provide advice and guidance for Tax related matters. You will be involved in fast-moving projects that deliver a value to our customers.

As a Tax Specialist , you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring company data on the e‑tax portal daily and communicate updates, letters, and requests from tax authorities to the Chief Accountant
• Ensuring timely responses to cameral letters and tax authority queries in accordance with tax legislation.
• Preparing and submit VAT and WHT reports within statutory and PSA deadlines
• Coordinating with CSG to reconcile VAT invoices with SAP data; follow up on discrepancies and ensure corrections are completed monthly
• Preparing vendor tax payment certificates (WHT) upon request after each quarter
• Prepare and process WHT payment requests (PRFs) and ensure timely settlement in line with tax law and PSA requirements
• Ensure proper tax setup in SAP; coordinate corrections when needed.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's degree with professional expertise in Tax
• Have minimum 2-4 years’ experience in tax reporting (VAT, WHT, FSWHT)
• Have good knowledge in tax legislation, understanding PSA protocols and ability to apply them
• Have ability to work on e-tax sites, make payments of taxes through e-VAT (deposit account) and understanding the customs declaration.
• Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solving problems and providing resolutions in an ever-changing organization
• Show excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in Azerbaijani and be able speak intermediate English
• Have experience of preparing and delivering information for tax audit purposes
