Product Owner
- Civil Infrastructure
Job Requisition ID: 25WD94307
Position Overview
We're expanding our Civil Infrastructure Product Line Group in India and building new Software Engineering Scrum teams focused on delivering desktop and cloud-connected tools for civil engineers. Our teams develop the core technology behind Autodesk Civil 3D and related tools used by civil engineers through design, construction, and delivery.
As a Product Owner, you'll work closely with Product Management and Experience Design to define and prioritize user requirements, then guide your engineering team through delivery. You'll translate user needs into clear backlog items, support day-to-day decisions, and ensure the team ships useful, high-quality software. The role also includes collaborating with other global teams and engaging directly with customers through forums, meetings, and site visits.
This is a hybrid role in Pune, India. You will report to Sr. Group Product Manager.
Responsibilities
- Drive prioritization and decision-making for features within your team.
- Gather, analyze, and refine user and product requirements for Civil 3D.
- Work closely with Experience Design, Product Management, and engineering to turn requirements into implemented solutions.
- Collaborate with global engineering and product teams to align with broader platform initiatives.
- Collect customer and stakeholder feedback and adjust scope, priorities, and plans accordingly.
- Own the backlog: write user stories, plan sprints, and support the full Agile development cycle.
- Represent the team's work internally and externally, track key metrics, and help the team course correct when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across functions.
- Persuasive, supportive, and able to motivate teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to take broad direction and turn it into concrete execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the software industry.
- Background or domain knowledge in civil engineering.
- Strong technical understanding of desktop or engineering software.
- Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in technology or civil infrastructure.
