Position Summary: We are looking for a Senior Member of Technical Staff – SMTS to join our Platform team in Bangalore to lead the integration of Sigma Computing into our core healthcare application. You will be building the secure, high-performance infrastructure that allows clinicians and administrators to access data insights without leaving their workflow.

Team: The Data and Analytics Platform team builds the foundational framework using which teams build differentiated analytics products. A curated rich set of practice performance dashboards and reports makes it possible to share performance insights, athena’s value and partnership, and serves up ongoing intelligence derived from the athena network.

Job responsibilities:

  • Design, document, develop and deploy quality code in an agile approach adhering to the business requirements.
  • Instrument automated testing (unit & functional) and monitoring as a part of the development phase.
  • Adhere to the team’s Definition of Done; perform peer code reviews to ensure quality standards
  • Develop domain knowledge. Take ownership of what you build and coordinate your efforts across the teams to ensure proper completion
  • Participate and contribute to Agile ceremonies including daily stand-up, sprint planning, readouts, and retrospectives

Education, Experience & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 4 to 8 years of experience in a software development role
  • Experience in an Agile environment preferred.
  • Expertise in any modern programming languages such as: Java, Python, JavaScript (React/Node)
  • Working experience with SQL, Relational Databases, Data Warehouse Technologies, Snowflake (preferred) or Databricks
  • Strong knowledge in RESTAPI and SQL development.
  • Development on cloud platforms (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or Harness), container deployment
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for development and/or product capability enhancements

  • Ability to work collaboratively on a cross-functional team with a wide range of experience levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with business owners to understand and refine business requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to demonstrate ownership of an area of athena's technology.
