Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

We are currently recruiting for an internship located at our office in San Jose, CA

Your Assignment

We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on summer interns to join the team and contribute to current computational imaging and metrology product features and/or innovate new features to drive customer satisfactory. As part of the product engineering organization, the intern is responsible for simulating imaging (ASML scanner tools) and metrology (ASML Yield Star tools) performance under large varieties of configurations and conditions by understanding customer escalations well and coming out good design of experiment and KPIs/analysis to achieve the goals.

In addition, role and responsibilities may include other related tasks and duties assigned, and job description subject to change at any time.

Education and experience

Pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, PhD degree in Physics, Material Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering/science fields.

Master's degree a plus

Work experience on semiconductor industry a plus

  • Work according to a strict set of procedures within the provided timelines.

  • A plus if there are any of following specific skills

  • Programming skills

  • MATLAB, python, C/C++ etc.

  • Diffraction based overlay signal process, statistics, and overlay/alignment target design

  • Advanced math and data analysis background for complicated algorithm development skills

  • Good optical knowledge on imaging and lens aberration, and basic understanding of semiconductor lithography process and overlay metrology issues in semiconductor industries

  • Scanner lens heating physics and modeling knowledge

Other information

This position is located on-site in San Jose, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, training courses and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration, and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • May require travel (specify domestic and/or international) dependent on business needs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $18.00 - $57.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members. This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
