Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and technically astute Manager, Technical Sales & Energy Analytics to work under the Director of Technical Sales within the solar tracker/renewable energy market. This role focuses on leveraging software solutions, energy prediction modeling, project development, and LCOE analysis to drive technical sales strategies across Europe and the Middle East. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in solar energy systems with software proficiency to deliver value-based solutions to clients and support the broader sales team's objectives.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Technical Analysis & Support:

  • Develop and refine energy prediction models to accurately forecast system performance and demonstrate ROI to customers
  • Create comprehensive LCOE analyses that highlight the financial benefits of Array solutions compared to alternatives
  • Serve as a technical liaison between clients and internal engineering teams, translating customer requirements into actionable product specifications

Software Solutions:

  • Lead the implementation and utilization of software products that enhance Array's technical sales capabilities
  • Train sales team members on software tools for system design, performance modeling, project development and financial analysis

Sales & Customer Relations:

  • Support the Director in developing technical sales approaches for key accounts and prospects
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical presentations that communicate the value proposition of Array systems
  • Build relationships with technical decision-makers at customer organizations to establish credibility and trust

Market Intelligence:

  • Monitor industry trends in performance modeling, software analytics, and LCOE benchmarking
  • Analyze competitive offerings with focus on tracker capabilities, energy production claims, and software capabilities
  • Provide regular reports on technical market developments that could impact sales strategies

Team Collaboration:

  • Mentor junior technical sales staff on energy modeling and analysis techniques
  • Collaborate with product teams to integrate customer feedback into software and analytics enhancements
  • Support proposal development with accurate technical specifications and performance projections

Travel:

  • Travel to client sites, industry events, and project locations as needed (up to 40%)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, renewable energy, or related technical field
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
  • Speaks English with a strong preference for a second language as Spanish.
  • 4+ years of experience in technical sales, product management, or similar department within the solar industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in energy prediction modeling, PVSyst, Plant Predict, or similar solar design software
  • Extensive technical knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, trackers, and energy storage solutions.
  • Strong understanding of LCOE analysis and financial modeling for renewable energy projects
  • Experience with CRM systems and other sales enablement tools
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), PVSyst, Plant Predict and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Results-oriented, with a strong drive and accountability to exceed sales targets.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of solutions success
  • Knowledge of solar tracking systems and their impact on energy production
