Job Overview:

Are you passionate about shaping the future of chip design? In the Solutions Engineering group at Arm, we offer the outstanding opportunity to join our Power Attainment team in a dynamic and diverse role!

Arm is establishing teams to develop new and best-in-class silicon platforms, addressing markets such as premium mobile, compute, IoT, AI/ML server, and automotive. Arm’s ambition is to demonstrate efficient performance by architecting, implementing, and fabricating pioneering silicon using the latest SoC process nodes and packaging technologies.

This is an unique initiative, where we are driving how the next generation of leading compute devices are built across the industry. Join Arm to be part of the solution.

Responsibilities:

Join a highly focused team where we analyze and optimize the performance per watt of our next generation solutions using innovative technologies, methodologies, and tools. This will involve simulation, emulation, modeling, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in design, verification, architecture, SW, and pre and post silicon test. You will build and innovate new processes along the way. We want your talents applied not only to ensuring customer requirements in PPA are measured and analyzed but also understood and creatively exceeded. This includes:

  • Developing scalable power models for IPs and SOCs
  • Creating and maintaining the tooling and automation for use-case power and perf/watt estimation and architecture exploration

Required Skills and Experience:

We are seeking experienced engineers for a multi-disciplinary role. Ideal candidates have experience in power analysis, modeling or are motivated engineers with valuable transferable skills from verification, SW, emulation, or design backgrounds.

  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
  • System-level power modeling and performance/power trade-offs
  • Experience with low-power architecture, power optimization, and power management
  • Proven track record working with data-driven modeling frameworks
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and interpersonal skills

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Knowledge of database design and management (SQL/NoSQL)
  • Familiarity with power estimation and analysis tools (e.g., PowerArtist, PrimePower, PowerPro, Joules)
  • Background in machine learning or data analytics for modeling and prediction
  • Knowledge of hardware/software co-design, system modeling, or architecture exploration

In Return:

Join a growing Solution Engineering SoC architecture team with significant opportunities to build our future success. This will be a fast paced and energized environment with opportunities to demonstrate your strategic and innovative thinking. You will also be rewarded with a competitive compensation structure, PTO, benefits, sabbaticals, and parental bonding leave!
