YOUR ROLE

As Trade Programs and Classification Manager on our team: Management of both Trade Programs and Classification Teams, ensuring full compliance in both areas, provide counselling to Business on areas of opportunity to reduce duties to minimal lawful amounts and ensuring all goods have an accurate HS code assigned to it.

In your daily job you will:

  • Personnel Management Team Trade Programs
  • Personnel Management Team Classification
  • Responsible for the certification of finished products according to the rules of origin of the Free Trade Agreements signed by Mexico and the United States
  • Responsible for the classification of raw materials, finished products, and machinery and equipment used by plants located in Mexico and the United States
  • Advising Business Units on tax mitigation opportunities

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • Bachelors degree Foreign Trade or similar career
  • English level advanced
  • +3 years in a similar customs / foreign trade role
  • Experience in Automotive Industry (must)
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred System)
  • Experience in Preference Calculation Systems (MIC, SAP GTS, others)
  • Experience in Annex 24 system (Customs)
  • Experience in Customs system (2TS)
  • MS Office proficient
  • Knowledge in International Treaties (MX & US)
  • Knowledge in Rules of Origin
  • Knowledge in Tariff Classification & Schedule B (MX & USA)
  • Knowledge of Import & Export Processes
  • Knowledge in Certificates of Origin (Filling out Documents)
