About the Role
Imagine what you could do here! The people here at Apple don't just create products - they create the kind of wonder that's revolutionized entire industries. It's the diversity of those people and their ideas that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do, from amazing technology to industry-leading environmental efforts. Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it!
Apple's sales organization generates the revenue needed to fuel our ongoing development of products and services. This, in turn, enriches the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world. Our sales team is, in many ways, the face of Apple to our largest customers.
Our government customers need to know that with their significant investments in our technologies, everything's going to work as promised. Our US government organization helps to ensure the technical integrity of platforms, solutions, and apps developed for our customers. As a solutions architect for state and local government, you will solve technical and business problems to ensure success for both Apple and our customers. You will provide both deep technical sales consulting and support in the area of Apple technologies and industry solutions with a goal of transforming the way people work.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Ensure the technical readiness of complete solutions that address key personas and use cases.
- Coordinate across accessory makers, ISVs, system integrators, and customer-built solutions to ensure the use case or persona we're solving for integrates seamlessly into existing infrastructure and legacy systems.
- Foster collaboration and innovation between accessory and solution providers, resellers, and managed service providers to expand the Apple ecosystem.
- Provide guidance on back-end systems integration with mobility solutions and activate those solutions at scale.
- Collate feedback from the field and coordinate outcomes with partners and Apple engineering teams to improve solutions.
- Level-up the account team community with industry-specific knowledge that drives deeper engagement in the accounts and industries they already support.
- Equip account teams with curated solution bundles to sell to customers.
- Provide Apple subject-matter-expert support on customer-facing calls as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Public Safety - Deep understanding of public-safety operations, from emergency communications to first-responder mobility, and the ability to deliver critically important technology at scale.
- Field Service & Transit - Track record of delivering operational-efficiency solutions for field service, transportation, and infrastructure agencies.
- Elections & Corrections - Experience with secure, reliable technology solutions supporting election integrity, correctional-facility operations, and justice workflows.
- Accessibility & Social Services - Expertise in enabling inclusive, citizen-focused services through accessible, user-friendly technology solutions for diverse populations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in architecting or enabling complex business or public-sector solutions, coordinating multiple partners and technologies, with at least 5 years of experience.
- Demonstrate capability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive decision-makers and key partners.
- Demonstrate good communication skills and ability to tell compelling stories through presentation software as well as short-form communication tools.
- Deep understanding of back-end systems integration with mobility solutions and legacy infrastructures.
- Strength in multi-functional collaboration across engineering, partners, and account teams.
- Ability to document and scale repeatable solutions, bundles, and procedures to accelerate adoption across accounts.
- Experience elevating field teams with industry-specific knowledge, training, and enablement to drive deeper customer engagement.
- A strong self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous environment while maintaining a disciplined focus on outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate IS/IT knowledge with experience in the areas of AI implementations, security, networking, and communications technologies for iOS, macOS, and competing platforms.
- Ability to articulate the benefits of modern deployment methods to business customers and describe the nuances of deploying and managing the Apple platform in large organizations. Familiarity with features and capabilities of top MDM vendors and ability to demonstrate recommended deployment workflows using MDM and ABM for device enrollment, configuration, and app distribution.
