The Apple Cloud UI team is responsible for building a world-class cloud portal experience on top of a diverse ecosystem of APIs. We are passionate about user experience and strive for a high level of polish in every detail. We are looking for a talented and driven frontend-focused Software Engineer to join our team and help us shape the future of cloud management at Apple. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging problems, collaborate with talented engineers and designers, and contribute to a product used by teams across Apple.

Description:

As a Software Engineer on the Apple Cloud UI team, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of our cloud portal. You will work closely with HI designers, product managers, and other engineering teams to drive projects forward as a Directly Responsible Individual (DRI). You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code. We're looking for a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building exceptional user experiences.

  • Design, develop, and maintain features for our cloud portal using React and TypeScript.

  • Collaborate with HI designers to translate designs into functional and visually appealing user interfaces.

  • Work closely with product managers to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and develop timelines and roadmaps.

  • Act as a DRI for projects, taking ownership from conception to deployment.

  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.

  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.

  • Contribute to the development of internal frontend tooling.

  • Explore and prototype new technologies, including GenAI, to improve our workflows and products.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with GenAI technologies and their integration into web applications is a strong plus.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of professional software development experience.

Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.

Experience building complex web applications with a focus on user experience.

Experience implementing APIs in user interfaces.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Experience with Node and full-stack development.

Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience:

Pay & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
