As part of our World Wide Sales Business Transformation group, you and your team will be responsible for implementing strategies, programs, tools, and processes that enable the business to drive sales, improve customer experience, and innovate the way we lead and support one of the largest channel operations in the world. These solutions are typically new technical capabilities and/or the transformation of business processes to support continuously evolving sales motions, expanding Geo coverage and routes-to-market, and growing complexity of sales plays.
As a WW Sales Transformation Program Manager, you will drive critical initiatives focused on optimizing our sales finance processes, particularly around quotation, pricing, and sales commission management. You will lead end-to-end projects, leveraging your deep understanding of financial workflows within a sales context and your expertise with Salesforce. As a vital link between Sales, Finance, and Engineering teams, you will translate complex business and financial requirements into robust technical solutions and ensure seamless project delivery from strategic planning through successful implementation.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage strategic programs and projects within the Sales Transformation portfolio, specifically targeting enhancements to our global quotation, pricing, sales commission systems and processes, and other innovative and transformational products leveraging AI/ML.
- Define and execute product strategy, translating market needs and customer insights into compelling product roadmaps as a Product Manager.
- Analyze data, business processes, and system functionality to investigate problems, pinpoint root causes, and identify viable solution options.
- Collaborate closely with sales leadership, finance, operations, engineering, and product teams to understand challenges, define robust solutions, and drive their delivery throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Translate high-level business objectives and intricate financial/operational requirements into comprehensive functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process diagrams for engineering teams can effectively implement within Salesforce and integrated systems.
- Facilitate workshops, conduct interviews, and present findings and recommendations to various audiences, ensuring alignment and gaining buy-in across all organizational levels, particularly between Sales and Finance.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery of sales finance initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for significant process improvement and automation within the quotation-to-cash cycle and commission calculation, leveraging Salesforce and other integrated technologies to drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Support change management activities, including developing communication plans, training materials, and user adoption strategies for new processes and systems impacting sales and finance teams.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for projects, and track post-implementation performance to ensure solutions deliver intended business value and financial accuracy.
- Ensure all projects and solutions align with the broader Sales Transformation strategy, finance objectives, and Apple's overall business goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 14+ years of related experience in a business analyst, product management, project/program management, and/or similar role, with a strong focus on sales finance, quotation, pricing, and sales commission processes.
- Deep expertise in project management and analysis for finance/sales operations workflows (e.g., current state assessment, future state definition, gap analysis, requirements gathering, specifications, user stories, process flows, timelines, user acceptance testing, change management, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills to investigate data, business processes, and system issues to identify underlying root causes, and propose effective solutions
- Ability to effectively plan, organize, and lead simultaneous projects with competing priorities, strategies, and timescales
- A deep understanding of technology trends, user experience principles, and data-driven decision-making is essential to identify opportunities and deliver innovative solutions that meet business objectives and delight users
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas and tailor to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven experience creating polished executive presentations and "storytelling through data" to motivate and inspire others
- Strong collaboration and relationship building skills with the ability to quickly establish trust, credibility, and influence across a variety of cross-functional and multi-directional partners
- Masters' degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to understand and explain complex business processes, systems, and tools with a specific focus on upstream/downstream impact and the relationship between multiple functions and/or tools
- Demonstrable expertise with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, CPQ, Service Cloud, or other CRM experience), including configuration, customization, data modeling, and integration within complex enterprise environments.
- Passion for continuous improvement with a product mindset and the curiosity to uncover gaps, resilience to manage ambiguity, and drive to optimize processes and create solutions
- Forward-thinking approach and tenacity to anticipate potential risks and opportunities, proactively driving initiatives towards desired strategic outcomes.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- Salesforce certifications are a plus
