We are in search of an experienced program manager with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills. Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet commitments for successful customer program launches. Must be self-directed and work in complex and dynamic ecosystems.

As Program Manager in Tools Team , you will have the opportunity to manage end to end ownership of Tools

delivery for programs across different business units.

By managing both internal and external deliverables , you will work to ensure on time deliveries.

This is critical role that will give exposure to work with global teams and work on critical programs for AMD.

THE PERSON: As a Program Manager you will partner with our cross functional teams to align on the Tools requirements and program milestones. Identify requirements and establish schedules to align with program milestones. A successful candidate will have the ability to establish and drive to goals including plan of record , risks , Scope, and timelines.

A candidate must be self-motivated, must have a passion for working with a diverse team of creative engineers and senior managers, must be able to deftly manage both internal and external dependencies and ensure all products are delivered on time. The candidate must be a team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.

The right candidate will have solid knowledge of program management, impeccable track record of delivering complex software programs, and experience with working with global design and customer teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and execute programs focusing on quality and deadlines
  • Drives completion of all required deliverables.
  • Creates and maintains project management artifacts such as schedule, risk and issues logs
  • Provides unique views of project status updates and facilitates cross development team dependencies and communications
  • Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle
  • Collaborates with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions
  • Collect, analyze, organize and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports
  • Strong self-motivator, with a sense of urgency when needed and strong crisis management skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven Project & Program Management experience in dynamic and competitive industry, particularly within Software Development or Engineering based organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Horizontal leadership/Matrix management experience is required
  • Flexible working schedule to manage global program execution team (Asia and North America)
  • Minimum 14+ years of overall experience with 4 years of Project Management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of productivity and project tools including Jira, PowerBI, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite etc.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science is desired.
  • PMP certification is a bonus
  • Agile development or certification is a bonus
