AIML Engineering Program Manager

Apple is where individual imaginations gather together, committing to the values that lead to great work. Every new product we build, service we create, or Apple Store experience we deliver is the result of us making each other's ideas stronger. That happens because every one of us shares a belief that we can make something wonderful and share it with the world, changing lives for the better. It's the diversity of our people and their thinking that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do. When we bring everybody in, we can do the best work of our lives. Here, you'll do more than join something - you'll add something.

About the Role

As an AIML Engineering Program Manager (EPM) at Apple, you will drive complex and innovative GenAI-based features that are essential to the success of Apple's products. We seek candidates with exceptional emotional intelligence who can lead diverse cross-functional teams to deliver key features integrated across all Apple products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and ship all aspects of large, cross-functional projects
  • Lead concurrent initiatives by defining project scope, authoring requirements, verifying resource allocation across the technology stack, identifying and mitigating risks, and establishing concise and thorough project timelines
  • Establish trust and create opportunities for seamless collaboration with colleagues across the AIML organization along with other Apple groups (e.g. Software Engineering, Hardware, Services) to ensure successful delivery of critical features

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in leading successful software programs
  • Have personally orchestrated the successful delivery of multiple significant client/server software products involving large-scale, cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills with a curiosity and appetite for solving complex problems
  • High level of accountability and responsibility
  • Ability to drive strategic priorities and ensure teams are focused on the right things at the right time
  • Self-motivated, and able to motivate colleagues, to drive tasks to completion
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable communicating and presenting at all organizational levels
  • Strong technical proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GenAI and machine learning-powered features, particularly in the model evaluation space
  • Master's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field

Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity. We seek to promote equal opportunity for all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, Veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics.
