You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including electrical engineers, mechanical designers, material scientists, sensor algorithms engineer to translate modeling insights into manufacturable sensor solutions that meet stringent performance requirements while driving next-generation touch and force sensing capabilities.","responsibilities":"Drive new sensor technology initiatives
Conduct feasibility analysis, material stack up optimization, and sensor element design
Model & simulate sensor designs to determine the response of those design to user interaction
Develop analytical or AI-driven models for sensor performance prediction, accounting for manufacturing tolerances and environmental variations
Perform circuit modeling, statistical analysis and design optimization with system integration considerations
Execute tolerance and sensitivity analysis to ensure design robustness
Analyze and verify designs through correlation of bench testing results with simulation models
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, mechanical designers, and material scientists
Perform rigorous design reviews with internal teams and external vendors
Document sensor specification development and create conceptual frameworks
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong background in electrostatics and dielectric materials.
Experience with FEA modeling tools and understanding of the underlying governing equations.
Direct experience with COMSOL (or equivalent) FEA simulation tools.
Understanding of material behavior and how it impacts sensor performance due to thermal, humidity, electromagnetic and mechanical effects. Multiphysics modeling background to incorporate these effects is a plus.
Good understanding of electrical circuits. Experience with touch and force sensor design is a plus.
Familiarity with CAD software such as NX is a plus.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to facilitate cross-functional discussion is extremely important.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Proficient in using commercial MCAD, ECAD and multiphysics FEA software
