The Position:

The ADI Automotive Battery Management Systems (BMS) team is developing leading edge BMS solutions (wired and wireless) and innovative Battery Lifetime Insights Systems and Solutions (BLISS), enabling industry leading automotive OEMs and Energy Storage System (ESS) suppliers to bring their next generation solutions to the market.

The team is now looking for an experienced senior Software Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for project managing software development efforts and communications across several geographically distributed development teams and Automotive OEM / T1 customers, monitoring the individual projects through their development lifecycles while meeting customer goals. The position reports to the Director of Project/Program Management within the Business Unit.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Work closely with key stakeholders such as Marketing, Product Development, Quality and the wider PM teams to develop a clear definition for our SW developments that meet customer requirements and align with strategic goals.
  • Develop the execution plans for assigned projects. This includes working with functional team leadership to build a schedule, staffing plan, risk analysis and mitigation plan and budget in support of project goals.
  • Work closely with business teams to develop any necessary contractual material (SOW, Quality requirements etc.) in support of planned developments.
  • Ensure projects are developed in compliance with specified internal, customer and industry standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Oversee and manage the successful execution of Software development projects:Manage the program attributes; schedule, scope, budget, and staffing; ensure individual projects stay on track and within budgetary commitments.
  • Continually evaluate risks and take appropriate action to mitigate.
  • Work closely with functional team leads to ensure project deliverables and dependencies are being met.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day program activities, priorities, meetings, and communications ensuring alignment across all cross-functional teams while optimizing performance at a program level.
  • Ensure development projects stay compliant with required industry standards
  • Serve as the focal point for communications. Compile regular status updates for all stakeholders and effectively escalate critical issues and risks as necessary.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring post-release lessons learned activities for the program are completed and lessons learned are applied to future programs.

The ideal candidate …

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. (PMI certification is an advantage but not required).

  • Strong working knowledge of Industry development processes and methodologies for Software and Systems – AGILE, AutoSAR, ASPICE etc.

  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience, preferably with some background in software project management or related aspect of software development

  • Proven success in leading large cross functional teams through influence.

  • Experience with multi-site, multi-geographical development is desired.

  • Strong planning and organizations skills; must be able to set and manage priorities, adapt to change, track progress of activities, issues, risks and deliverables to closure.

  • A problem solver who is able to quickly assess situations, collect relevant information or input from subject matter experts and drive manageable solutions.

  • Able to act decisively and make clear timely decisions that are in the best interests of the project.

  • Be creative and innovative. Demonstrate a willingness to explore new options to bridge program challenges or improve processes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, foster teamwork and bridge differences to achieve the program goals.

  • For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.

  • Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S.

Department of State:
