How will you make an impact in this role?

• The role of Analyst
• Marriott Portfolio will become a subject matter expert on the Marriott portfolio, partnering closely with Marriott and cross functional Amex teams to enhance cardmember value, uncover growth opportunities, and support strategic initiatives across product and partnership operations.

They will contribute to product strategy, manage day-to-day partnership activities, and support the delivery of benefits, services, and capabilities tied to the Marriott co-brand portfolio. The successful candidate will continually develop strong analytical skills through performance reporting, data analysis, and insight generation to inform portfolio decisions and shape future strategy. They will also help drive key initiatives that advance business objectives while navigating both the Marriott relationship and internal cross LOB partners.

Responsibilities include:

Strategy & Analytics

• Support the development and execution of the portfolio strategy.
• Have a thorough understanding of the profitability drivers of the Marriott portfolio, and the ability to identify areas of opportunity.
• Develop regular reports measuring the performance of key business metrics, recommend and implement strategic actions and solutions.
• Monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks that inform strategic recommendations.

Partner and Portfolio Management

• Be a product champion and subject matter expert of the Marriott portfolio and our Marriott Cardmembers.
• Act as a core contact for Marriott to help deliver on our joint Amex/Marriott portfolio goals.
• Work effectively across broader Amex teams to deliver enhanced efficiencies, processes, services and Cardmember experiences (Marketing, Servicing, Legal, Compliance, Technologies, etc.).
• Support portfolio management tasks including coordinating project milestones, and tracking/reporting progress on key initiatives.

Qualifications:

• University Degree in Business / Commerce with a minimum of 1-2 years of product or management work experience.
• Ability to work well in an autonomous environment with skillsets to juggle and prioritize concurrent initiatives.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Proven self-starter with the ability to take initiative, drive results and champion a project from conception through implementation and evaluation.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to analyze data sets, recognize business opportunities, recommend and implement actions.
• Proven ability to lead change and set priorities, with capacity to be flexible and adapt with new opportunities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Hiring Range: $68,000 to $102,000 annually + bonus + benefits
