Manager, Supply Chain Solutions, Product Management
About GMNS Product:
As part of the Global Merchant & Network Services group (GMNS) the Product Team is at the core of American Express, uniquely positioned to service every business unit and customer across the Enterprise. Each year, we power billions of transactions through our global payments network, serving our Issuing and Acquiring businesses in more than 170 markets worldwide. We are driving a strategic, multi-year transformation to modernize our Supply Chain Solutions to build innovative products, services, and capabilities that will anticipate buyers and suppliers and issuing and acquiring partner’s needs. This is a strategic priority for GMNS as it becomes increasingly important that we stay competitive with the rise of intermediaries, can quickly adapt to an ever-changing regulatory environment and are developing strong value-added services that deepen the relationships with our acquiring customers.
Reporting to the VP of GMNS Supply Chain Solutions – Product Management, the
Manager of Supply Chain Solutions, Product Management, will have the opportunity to be part of a key strategic priority for the GMNS business. This team is responsible for evolving the strategic agenda focused on how we are modernizing and transforming our Commercial & B2B products and processes globally. This includes setting the strategy, defining future use cases, ensuring our current roadmap enables the business for the future, and identifying opportunities to provide differentiated value to our Suppliers, Buyers and Partners.
As a key member of this team, your responsibilities will include:

Defining products and services and provide differentiated value and a seamless experience that allows customers and partners to expand to new segments and markets
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and deliver teams to define trackable success metrics to enable analytic-driven decision-making, as well as track product development, product performance post-launch to assess future investments, e.g., incremental revenue, cost reduction, competitive differentiation, and customer satisfacti Conduct discovery to identify market opportunities and user needs, and document clear, actionable requirements to support product development

Define and continually refine prioritization to build and maintain product roadmaps including sustaining a backlog of features

Gather and analyze feedback from internal and external customers and partners to create user journeys to help identify opportunities to remove obsolete or redundant commercial and B2B payment experiences and suggest enhancements to improve user experience

Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to support the design, validation, and execution of supply chain solutions, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap

Responsible for identifying, assessing, and strengthening risk and control frameworks to ensure operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and effective governance
The successful candidate will have the following:
·
Experience: Background in end-to-end Product Management and an understanding of the payments industry, preferably including supply chain finance, working capital solutions, corporate banking, AI supply chain automation, blockchain rails and digital currencies, etc.; 3+ years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Development preferred
· Skilled business liaison: A good balance of technical knowledge and business/commercial acumen with a proven track record of driving innovation and business metrics with a customer-first mindset

Intellectual curiosity: High intellectual curiosity, with excellent creative and critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguous or undefined problem
·
Strategic thought leadership: Strategic and innovative mindset, with the ability to synthesize and translate market and industry trends into opportunities for AXP to drive innovative solutions
·
Transformational spirit: Proven track record of driving change management and delivery in complex and highly matrixed organizations
·
Executive communication: Outstanding communicator with the ability to distill complex topics into clear and concise messages, adapted for the audience appropriately
·
Great attitude: High energy, an optimistic attitude, eagerness to learn, high level of accountability and a good sense of humor
· Education: Masters of Business Administration or Bachelor's (or comparable experience) in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics is highly preferred.
