Key Responsibilities
- Advise the CHRO and HR leadership on external reputation, executive visibility, and thought leadership strategy.
- Lead the global HR public relations and employer brand strategy, blending traditional earned media with modern, social-first and emerging platforms.
- Secure high-impact, difficult-to-place media coverage and visibility opportunities that strengthen credibility and influence.
- Shape and amplify the company’s Colleague Value Proposition (CVP) through compelling external storytelling.
- Position HR leaders as authoritative voices through media, LinkedIn and social platforms, podcasts, bylined content, and speaking engagements.
- Provide guidance and support (as needed) to other senior Amex leaders who can act as spokespeople for the CVP externally, with a special focus on our Leadership narrative.
- Lead the employer-of-choice awards and rankings strategy, including Great Place to Work and other leading employer assessments.
- Provide senior counsel on sensitive workforce-related issues and reputation risk.
Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of experience in public relations, corporate affairs, or employer brand, with deep expertise in external HR or leadership communications.
- Proven track record of securing high-impact, hard-to-get media placements and elevating executive profiles.
- Demonstrated ability to blend traditional PR with modern, social-first, and emerging storytelling approaches.
- Experience advising C-suite executives, particularly CHROs, with confidence and sound judgment.
- Exceptional storytelling, writing, and executive presence.
