Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Architectural Exploration:Own long lead time design space exploration Define and execute studies to evaluate the performance, power, and area (PPA) impact of new architectural features, microarchitectural policies, and hardware/software co-design opportunities.
  • Strategic Pathfinding:Conduct architectural pathfinding to identify and quantify the value of disruptive technologies. Provide data-driven recommendations to executive leadership on architectural strategy, feature prioritization, and technology investment.
  • Team Leadership & Development:Build, hire, and mentor a world-class team of pathfinding architects and performance analysis SDEs. Foster a culture of deep technical analysis, innovation, and critical thinking.
  • Model-Based Decision Making:Direct the development and use of performance models (cycle-accurate, analytical, AI-based) to simulate complex workloads, with a heavy emphasis on AI/ML, and extract actionable insights.
  • Cross-Functional Technical Leadership:Serve as the key technical interface between research, architecture, hardware design, and software teams. Translate product goals and workload characteristics into concrete architectural hypotheses to be tested.
  • Methodology & Infrastructure:Champion the development of a scalable analysis infrastructure to automate massive DSE campaigns, rapidly visualize results, and perform multi-dimensional trade-off analysis.
