The Core Software System Engineering Team is seeking a highly qualified staff engineer with deep expertise in graphics driver architecture and development, as well as proficiency in developing and implementing test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess strong programming skills in C++, Python, and C, with a focus on performance optimization. Experience with code quality and compliance tools, such as static analysis and automated code review, is essential. The candidate should be able to leverage AI technologies to enhance productivity. A key responsibility will be to focus on automation and improving the strategy to modernize test automation processes.

THE PERSON: We’re looking for a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who is passionate about innovation and continuous improvement. You should be comfortable navigating complex technical challenges, mentoring junior engineers, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to stay ahead of emerging technologies and compliance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the design and implementation of modern test automation strategies
  • Drive performance optimization across graphics driver development
  • Evaluate test results and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing with development goals
  • Manage and contribute to large-scale, cross-functional engineering projects
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Must be a self-starter and able to drive tasks to completion
  • Coordinate debugging efforts and drive issues to closure
  • Organize meetings, set clear agendas, and follow up on action items
  • Deliver regular progress updates toward program goals
  • Make tough decisions such as priority calls based on partial or incomplete data.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Expertise in graphics driver architecture and development
  • Proven ability to build and scale test automation frameworks
  • Experience leveraging AI to enhance engineering productivity
  • Strong programming skills in C++, Python, and C
  • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with code quality tools (e.g., static analysis, automated code review)
  • Knowledge of software compliance regulations and standards (e.g., IEEE, ISO)
  • Agile team leadership experience (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, planning, and technical leadership skills
  • Proven record of accomplishment in delivering large multi-functional product solutions
  • Experience working in a fast-paced matrixed technical organization and multi-site environment

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with over 7 years of relevant experience
