This role is part of the IES Shopping team and owns the mission of delivering a fast, transparent, and frictionless purchase experience for emerging shoppers — from Cart through Checkout — driving conversion and purchase frequency across emerging markets worldwide.
Emerging shoppers face a complex purchase journey: cluttered Carts with unclear total costs, multi-step Checkouts with redundant friction, and limited visibility into delivery timelines and payment options. This role exists to simplify that journey at scale — reducing steps, improving transparency, and ensuring every shopper can complete their purchase with confidence.
Key job responsibilities
Define and drive the long-term Purchase Experience vision and roadmap — Own the multi-year strategy for Cart and Checkout simplification, anchored in reducing friction, improving transparency, and maximizing purchase conversion across emerging markets.
Own the end-to-end Cart and Checkout experience — Lead initiatives spanning Cart transparency, Checkout simplification, and payment experience improvements — ensuring a coherent, customer-first experience across the full purchase funnel.
Launch customer-delighting experiences — Build experiences that give shoppers full confidence at Cart and a streamlined path through Checkout, with measurable impact on Checkout Session Rate (CSR) and Distinct Purchase Days (DPD).
Partner across business and technology teams — Work closely with IES PurchaseX, PayX, Pay on Delivery, and SMX platform teams to execute the roadmap. Influence global partner teams to build and scale experiences across emerging markets worldwide.
