This role is for Senior Business Development Manager for Credit and Lending team for Small Business Credit Cards. The incumbent will be responsible for managing strategic partnerships with lenders including new partner selection, existing partner scaleup, identifying opportunities to scale revenues, and drive higher profitability.
The role ensures dual responsibility of enabling the best customer inputs on SBCC and driving P&L for the business.

  1. Drive end-to-end ownership of the SBCC vertical within Amazon Pay
  2. Close commercial terms and contracts with lending partners for SBCC
  3. Drive improvements Interest Rate of Return (IRR) and expand customer coverage of SBCC cards.
  4. Partner with marketing, product, category and tech teams to drive customer awareness, adoption of SBCC
  5. Drive business and program review mechanisms with leadership teams across Amazon Pay, lending partners, and category teams.

A day in the life
In a single day you may end up debating the best onboarding experience with the design team, reviewing the latest insights from customer research, and working with data scientists to identify patterns that help you target your customers better.
The role requires creation of capabilities across credit lifecycle (credit modelling, onboarding, shopping experience, simplified repayments, cross selling etc.). It requires this leader to work very closely with lender partners to define and deliver industry best value propositions. You will be listening closely to customers to identify gaps/opportunities where credit can transform experience and drive delight, stickiness and higher consumption

About the team
The Credit and Lending team is committed to democratizing credit access in India through innovative financial solutions. As we serve millions of customers across personal loans, Pay Later, and co-branded credit card offerings, we believe in making the entire credit journey, including Vehicle loans, seamless and customer-friendly.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
  • Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps
