Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

As a hardware TPM on our team, you will be responsible for managing critical deliverables for power supply, customized ruggedized cables and other outdoor appliances. You will work with system technical program managers and engineers (product design, ID, hardware engineers, compliance, package) to define the key deliverables and the program plan, and you will manage suppliers and 3rd party to execute the plan and ensure on time deliverable. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • Lead engineering team to define the product requirement
  • Develop each hardware deliverable’s schedule based on system development plan.
  • Manage contract manufactures and 3rd party to execute the development, validation and certification
  • Manage the budget and expense
  • Communicate regular program status to management
  • Lead solving technical challenges

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience with the project management of hardware products
  • 2+ years of experience in managing regulatory compliance certification for power supply and cables.
  • Experience working with Asia-based manufacturing partners and test labs
  • Experience in multi-task management simultaneously
  • Experience in worldwide certification process
  • Good English communication and presentation skill

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a technical field
  • Knowledge of package development
  • Strategic think and develop solutions quickly and effectively.
  • Organizational and project/program management skills
