AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
Annapurna Labs, as part of AWS, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Solutions Engineer to drive innovative cloud-based solutions and software infrastructure across Annapurna Operations. This role combines system development engineering with database architecture and cross-functional technical leadership, supporting the optimization of our semiconductor products and manufacturing processes.

• Key job responsibilities
• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring to market innovative products and services
• Technically contribute to complex charters of building and delivering cloud solutions
• Design and build scalable, high-performance internal database systems to store and manage production data from across our operations
• Develop pipelines and APIs to aggregate production data from multiple sources and systems
• Build distributed data sources, index, and query systems that are scalable, and use these systems to optimize product quality, reliability and performance
• Deliver technical initiatives that drive performance and cost optimization to our products and manufacturing processes
• Create intuitive dashboards for monitoring production indicators and key metrics
• Provide software solutions and technical expertise to various Annapurna operations teams
• Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, quality, and engineering teams to understand data requirements

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing large-scale database systems and data architectures
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, Java, or similar systems programming languages
• Extensive experience building and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration systems at scale
• Deep understanding of database optimization, query performance tuning, and system scalability
• Proven experience with AWS products and services

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing internal analytics platforms or enterprise data warehouses
• Deep familiarity with AWS databases (RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, Aurora)
• Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization platforms
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations or supply chain systems
• Track record of delivering high-impact solutions with measurable business outcomes
