We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead the evolution of our Amazon Vendor Services engagement model - transforming how vendors and Business Specialists collaborate through scalable mechanisms, strategic frameworks, and enabling tools that drive mutual growth and long-term partnership success.

Are you passionate about transforming how businesses grow through strategic frameworks and innovative product solutions? Are you excited about building scalable mechanisms that drive measurable vendor success while pioneering the future of vendor-Amazon collaboration?

Amazon.co.jp is seeking an exceptional Senior Program Manager to lead our strategic initiative transforming how we partner with vendors to accelerate sustainable business growth, while raising the bar on vendor experience. This role uniquely combines product thinking with program excellence, requiring you to define product requirements, shape multi-year roadmaps, and drive organizational transformation across multiple stakeholder groups. You will work at the intersection of strategy, technology, and implementations, partnering with cross-functional teams - business team (product families), product/tech team, and data science teams - to build scalable mechanisms and tools that enable vendors and Amazon to achieve breakthrough results.

This position offers the opportunity to own an end-to-end transformation initiative from strategy to execution. You will define the vision for vendor growth mechanisms, translate business needs into product requirements, drive standardization across product families, and measure the impact of your work through clear business outcomes. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, is passionate about engaging multiple stakeholders and transforming processes to drive both top-line growth and operational efficiency.

  • Cross-PF Standardization: Drive standardization of growth planning frameworks, templates, metrics, and processes across multiple product families (Consumables, Hardlines, Softlines, Entertainment Media, Books), ensuring consistency while respecting category-specific needs.

  • Strategic Framework Development: Design and evolve the vendor-BS collaboration framework including goal-setting methodologies, initiative planning structures, performance tracking mechanisms, and recovery action protocols that serve as building blocks for vendor growth

  • Stakeholder Alignment & Change Management: Lead cross-functional alignment across business teams, driving adoption through effective change management strategies and clear communication of value propositions

  • Metrics & Impact Measurement: Establish comprehensive tracking mechanisms to measure program success, using data to drive continuous iteration, including leading regular business review cadences with senior leadership, presenting progress, risks, and strategic recommendations

  • Scalable Mechanism Design: Build repeatable, scalable processes and tools that reduce manual workload, improve quality consistency, and enable strategic (vs. tactical) engagement between Amazon and vendors

  • Manage the financial impact of the programs including revenue, costs, and contribution profit
Plan and conduct regular business review cadence with stakeholders

  • A day in the life

  • Define and prioritize product features for program-enabling tools based on business impact and technical feasibility

  • Drive cross-PF standardization of templates, metrics, and workflows while maintaining flexibility for category-specific requirements

  • Establish and manage regular business reviews with leadership, presenting progress, risks, and strategic recommendations

  • Partner with tech and data science teams to build robust enabling tools for business transformation

  • Lead change management to drive adoption among Brand Specialists and vendors, measuring behavioral transformation through defined success metrics

  • Continuously innovate the vendor-BS collaboration framework based on vendor feedback, business performance data, and emerging best practices across the organization
