Amazon is looking for a Sr. Software Development Engineer who is passionate, innovative and have a heart for Nourishing People and the Planet. You will be working on designing and developing long term, scalable and high-impact programs within the Worldwide Grocery Stores Tech (WWGST) organization.

Our team leads the development and delivery of food production services that empower team members to create fresh, prepared foods for customers. We support both in-store kitchens and innovative centralized kitchen facilities across Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores retail brands, including Whole Foods Market, and Amazon Same-Day. By building scalable production capabilities, we enable consistent quality and operational excellence across diverse store formats.

You will design, develop, and deploy reliable distributed solutions at Amazon scale, working with core technologies including Java, Linux, and AWS services. The ideal candidate excels in ambiguous environments, builds high-risk components first, and maintains focus on architectural goals while delivering incremental launches. Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
