The Indian accounting organization supports accounting, financial reporting, internal control, inter company, transfer pricing activities and support new business launches.

We are currently looking for candidates who are at the finance manager level. Successful candidates for this position will have the equivalent of 5+ years of professional experience with financial accounting, reporting and internal control related responsibilities.

This position will have responsibility for supporting all parts of our financial reporting process and will be expected to understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area. Technical accounting research and position paper writing will also be a requirement of this position.

This position is expected to have a good sense of ownership, ability to identify process improvement opportunities, drive positive change across the organization, and enhance partnerships between accounting and various business finance, operations accounting and IT groups.

Primary responsibilities include: Accounting and analysis of our consumer lending business, driving month close activities, consolidation etc. Driving efficiencies in business processes and guiding business teams on accounting areas. Evaluating accounting positions for new projects and writing technical position paper. Partnering with the members of other teams and/ or other geographies to set up and/ or develop process improvement initiatives. Working in various GAAP frameworks to meet the requirements of territory specific regulations as well as consolidation at a global level. Partnering with the members of the global team to ensure SOX compliance.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
• 5+ years of relevant experience with big 4, multi-national corporate in operational accounting.
• CA, CPA or ICWAI qualification is a must.
• Good communications skills and able to work effectively with cross-border teams. Understanding of US GAAP is considered to be an added advantage.
• The successful candidate will be a self-starter, a collaborative team-player, and an excellent communicator.
• Candidate will also have good written and oral communication skills, solid organizational, risk assessment and some information technology aptitude.
• Prior experience of managing relationship with Big 4 will be an added advantage
• Experience with data mining tools SQL, Alteryx

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of transactional accounting field experience
