Project Kuiper is an Amazon initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of over 3,000 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of compliance specialist, focusing on support for our US and international government customers. You'll also support our regulatory compliance programs such as GDPR and NIS2. The successful candidate will have experience deciphering customer needs, formulating compliance plans and roadmaps, prioritizing resources across multiple domains, and working with customers to solve problems.
- Key job responsibilities
- Manage global regulatory and compliance requirements, focusing on US government customer compliance.
- Work closely with the business to understand and scope compliance needs, and develop roadmaps and prioritization for the compliance program.
- Implement and maintain compliance programs, and manage regulator and auditor requests.
- Create metrics for management reporting
- Develop scaling mechanisms to meet increasing customer demands, using automation and AI/ML tools.

You will act as a compliance leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. You can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be able to help create simple solutions to meet your program goals. You can make strategic decisions to quickly handle emerging issues while working towards long term solutions.
The candidate must possess strong analytical skills and be comfortable working autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment. The position requires an individual with strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and able to prioritize effectively.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Auditing, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or other related fields
- Experience with technology risk, IT security audit, compliance and/or relevant regulatory knowledge
- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- 3+ years of team management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in dealing with senior executives

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
