We are seeking a technically proficient Business Specialist to support data-driven decision-making and operational excellence through advanced analytics, automation, and business intelligence solutions. This role will be responsible for developing SQL-based analytical frameworks, building Python automation tools, and creating scalable reporting mechanisms that enable operational teams to monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and execute strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strong technical skills with business acumen to translate complex data into actionable insights, working closely with Program Managers, Operations teams, and stakeholders to support critical business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and business operations, leveraging technical skills to drive meaningful business impact. You will be expected to balance technical depth with business understanding, ensuring that analytical solutions are not only technically sound but also aligned with operational needs and strategic objectives.
The role requires a self-starter mentality with bias for action. You should be comfortable working in ambiguous situations, making pragmatic decisions about analytical approaches, and iterating based on stakeholder feedback. Strong attention to detail, commitment to data quality, and ability to communicate findings clearly are critical for success.
- Key job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and data pipelines to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and reliability for business reporting and decision-making
- Build automation solutions to streamline repetitive analytical tasks, data processing workflows, and reporting generation, improving team efficiency and reducing manual effort
- Design and implement scalable analytical frameworks that enable self-service analytics for operational teams, creating reusable code libraries, templates, and documentation for common analytical use cases
- Create and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reports using visualization tools, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at various organizational levels
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on operational performance metrics, identifying trends, anomalies, and root causes of performance gaps, and developing data-driven recommendations for improvement
- Partner with Program Managers and Operations teams to understand business requirements, define analytical approaches, and deliver insights that support strategic planning and tactical execution
- Automate data quality monitoring and validation processes, implementing checks and alerts to ensure data integrity across reporting systems and proactively identifying data issues
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Engineers to optimize data infrastructure, improve query performance, and implement new analytical capabilities that scale with business growth
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- English Knowledge
- Computerized Maintenance Management System program experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
- Experience working in an analytical environment with cross-functional teams
