Amazon Ads is seeking an exceptional Senior Manager to lead our Global Tech Partner Development team as a general manager (GM) of critical global partnerships driving billions in brand spend. This role operates at the intersection of business strategy, technical innovation, and executive influence, leading Partner Development Managers who enable technology providers to scale WW. You'll shape organizational strategy, influence senior leadership decisions, and drive multi-year transformational investments in partner capabilities. This position requires end-to-end accountability for partner success, from resource allocation and multi-million-dollar investments to securing revenue commitments and negotiating platform agreements that set organizational precedent.
- Key job responsibilities
- Operate as single-threaded GM for billions in PRAM ad spend across critical global partners spanning 22+ countries, with full P&L accountability
- Lead and develop a team of Partner Development Managers, establishing mechanisms, frameworks, and best practices that scale beyond individual partnerships
- Own or significantly contribute to VP+ goals including ADSP Video Adoption, Open Internet expansion, and video product growth across customer segments and geographies
- Develop and execute 12-36 month partnership strategies through comprehensive business assessments of partner scope, technologies, and opportunities
- Negotiate complex, multi-year partnership agreements including platform discounts, incentive structures, and upfront commitments at the C-suite level
- Influence OP1 planning cycles and investment decisions across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams based on partner insights
- Drive product innovation by collaborating with engineering teams to influence roadmaps, negotiate beta commitments, and accelerate development
- Make high-judgment decisions on resource allocation, trade-offs between partner commitments and Amazon roadmap constraints, and commercial negotiations
- Establish executive relationships with C-suite partners and advocate through SVP level internally to influence long-term strategic documents (OP1/3YP)
- Lead cross-functional initiatives delivering bottom-line impact across multiple customer segments, industries, and geographies simultaneously
A day in the life
You'll review partner portfolio metrics, coach PDMs on complex partnership strategies, and join quarterly business reviews with C-suite executives discussing multi-year roadmaps. You'll collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence OP1 planning, work with Solution Architects on technical blockers, and make resource allocation decisions on multi-million-dollar investments. Afternoons involve presenting to SVP leadership, negotiating platform agreements, or developing new go-to-market motions in undefined areas.
About the team
The Global Partner Development team operates as the strategic engine of Amazon Ads' partner ecosystem, enabling agencies and technology platforms to drive billions in advertising revenue. We function as GMs for our partners' Amazon Ads business, combining business acumen, technical expertise, and executive influence to shape how the organization approaches complex partnerships. Our team works in ambiguous environments where strategy is undefined, developing precedents that influence SVP-level decisions and transform partner capabilities. This is a team where your strategic vision directly impacts Amazon Ads' growth trajectory and partner success at scale.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience
- Knowledge of distribution networks and channel P&Ls
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent
- Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent
- Experience negotiating VP-level contracts with channel partners and agencies
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Senior Leadership

- 5+ years of managing and developing high performance teams experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
