SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to BPSS and Export Control checks (including a criminal record check)

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Occasional travel within UK and international

LOCATION: Filton, Bristol (60% of your working week must be office based)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Wing Analysis Engineering team at Filton. We are a team dedicated to finding technical solutions to support wing structure development, and we are looking for you to bring your passion for structural analysis and design to lead our work.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • You will approve Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) deliverables and lead the resolution of F&DT problems through the use of appropriate methods.

  • You will be responsible for the technical scope of projects, providing guidance to F&DT Engineers and suppliers.

  • You will liaise with the Chief Engineers, F&DT Seniors, Principals, and the Technical Authorities.

  • You will support the development of less experienced team members on both technical and behavioural aspects.

  • You will collaborate with the Process, Methods and Tools (PMT) and Digitalization departments on 1A transformation projects.

  • Your work will implement automation and optimization tools and processes on the current and near-future incremental developments.

ABOUT YOU

  • You hold or are very close to holding approval signatory in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) analysis.

  • You bring experience and know-how of structures engineering and analytical techniques.

  • You have good knowledge of overall aircraft structural design principles and techniques.

  • You have a structural analysis background, particularly in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance.
