The Requirements Engineering Manager (d/f/m) is responsible for creating and maintaining an overview of all requirements and specifications in a project in close cooperation with the project office and product management. With a deep application and technical understanding this role also assesses the quality of the content and offers support for improvements to the team.

This position reports to the Manager Applications Development, Life Science, and is part of the Applications Development department, R&D located in both Wetzlar and Mannheim and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Collaborate in project development
• Create requirements analyses and participate in requirements definitions
• Implement and support feasibility studies and customer surveys
• Assess the quality assurance during the development process
• Perform stakeholder management within and outside of R&D

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Degree in natural sciences
• Several years of professional experience in creating product and project requirements
• In-depth understanding of typical customer applications and microscopy needs
• Structured, clear, and moderating communication skills
• Business fluent in both German and English
• Ability to travel: 2-5 international trips for several days over the year, frequent day trips between Mannheim and Wetzlar

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Prior experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Programming skills
• Basic technical knowledge of electronics and mechanics
