As a Sourcing Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop professional partnerships with key stakeholders in supporting their sourcing needs across the globe.
This role will join the truly global IT sourcing team, reporting to the Sourcing Director located in the United States. The team consists of high-performing professionals managing IT Outsourced Services, Software & Data, Hardware, and Software Development subcategories. We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager specializing in software and SaaS to lead complex, high impact technology sourcing engagements. This role owns the end to end sourcing lifecycle—from market intelligence through negotiation, contracting, and renewals. You’ll partner closely with IT, Legal, Security, Finance, and business leaders to shape commercial terms that optimize cost, reduce risk, and maximize value across our application and cloud portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key business stakeholders
- Execute sourcing strategies for the Information Technology category or other categories as assigned
- Conduct supply market analysis, cost modelling and bench-marking
- Lead the contract review/renewal process, working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment on plans
- Lead supplier selection and negotiation process, execute sourcing activities
- Lead complex negotiations for new purchases, co terming, renewals, expansions, true ups, and ELA/MLA agreements securing favorable terms, conditions and price for Agilent.
- Conduct spend analysis of assigned category and propose/execute on opportunities
- Provide efficient and consistent communication to stakeholders on the progress of sourcing engagements
- Manage supplier relationships, supplier reviews as assigned
- Adhere to Indirect Strategic Sourcing and One Procurement policies, processes and procedures, utilizing the sourcing toolkit to achieve consistent engagement
- Collaborate with business partners on requirements, integrations, and lifecycle impacts (implementation, support, decommission) and execute sourcing engagements, balancing the service, service level, cost and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s degree or University Degree or equivalent.- Proficiency in English language is a MUST
-Typically, 5-10 years relevant sourcing experience working in a multinational; multi-cultural environment with 5+ years focused on software/SaaS/Cloud agreements. - Experience across IT sub-categories and demonstrated knowledge of sourcing landscape in technology purchases.
- Demonstrated success negotiating enterprise level software deals (ELA/MLA, SaaS subscriptions, cloud consumption) with measurable savings and risk reductions.
-Deep knowledge of software licensing models (user based, device based, concurrent), SaaS metrics, and cloud pricing constructs (reserved instances, committed spend, savings plans).
-Strong understanding of contract law fundamentals and common software clauses (liability caps, indemnity, IP, audit rights, confidentiality, data security). - Prior experience in leading complex RFP’s and negotiation skills are core to this position.
- Ability to clearly articulate strategy and gain alignment with senior management is critical for this position.
- Person needs to be self-starter & ability to work with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate can work at the Manesar-Gurgaon India location.
