This is Adyen
Adyen provides payments, data, and financial products in a single solution for customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft - making us the financial technology platform of choice. At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition.
For our teams, we create an environment with opportunities for our people to succeed, backed by the culture and support to ensure they are enabled to truly own their careers. We are motivated individuals who tackle unique technical challenges at scale and solve them as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
The Role
We are seeking a senior product leader to own and scale Adyen’s Customer Interfaces—the primary surface through which merchants, developers, partners, and internal teams experience the Adyen platform.
This role is foundational to delivering Adyen’s One Platform strategy. You will transform the Customer Area from a set of operational tools into a growth engine that drives product activation, customer expansion, and long-term platform differentiation.
You will lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of a unified, AI-enabled, globally scalable interface ecosystem—spanning onboarding, payments operations, financial products, communications, support, and partner experiences. Your work will directly impact product adoption (e.g., Up Lift), customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and Adyen’s readiness for an open, embedded ecosystem.
This is a high-ownership role with responsibility for complex platform migrations, global product teams, and deep cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Commercial, Support, Risk, and Compliance.
What You’ll Do Set the Vision for AI-Native Customer Interfaces Define and execute a multi-year strategy to evolve Adyen’s Customer Area toward conversational, agentic, and intelligent workflows—bridging traditional UI with AI-driven experiences.
Turn Interfaces into a Growth Engine Reimagine Customer Interfaces as a primary channel for product discovery and activation, enabling customers to self-serve and adopt capabilities such as Up Lift, Capital, and Issuing directly within their workflows.
Lead Platform-Scale Execution Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Commercial, Support, Risk, and Compliance to deliver platform migrations, simplify fragmented tools, and scale globally without compromising reliability or trust.
Operate with Data and Experimentation Define success metrics across activation, usage, CSAT, and operational efficiency. Run experiments that measurably improve outcomes across the customer lifecycle.
Build and Develop a World-Class Team Lead and grow a team of product managers across Amsterdam and Chicago. Set high standards for product craft, clarity of thinking, and ownership.
What Success Looks Like Within the first 12–18 months, you will have:
-
Established a clear, executable vision for AI-driven customer interfaces
-
Launched early conversational and intelligent workflows with real customer adoption
-
Made Customer Interfaces a meaningful lever for product-led growth
-
Built and up-leveled a high-performing, globally distributed product team
Who You Are
-
8+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years leading PMs
-
Proven success delivering complex, multi-year platform initiatives at scale
-
Strong product instincts at the intersection of UX, platforms, and business outcomes
-
Demonstrated passion for AI-powered experiences (deep expertise not required)
-
Comfortable operating in ambiguity with high autonomy and ownership
-
A clear, compelling communicator who influences across senior leadership
