Summary:

We are seeking a Team Lead Application Security with strong hands-on expertise in SAST, DAST, and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) to lead application security testing and vulnerability management across enterprise applications. The role focuses on secure SDLC enablement, tool governance, vulnerability remediation leadership, and team management, working closely with development, DevOps, and security teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Application Security Leadership
• Lead a team of Application Security engineers and analysts supporting SAST, DAST, and SCA programs.
• Act as the primary escalation point for application security findings and risk decisions.
• Drive adoption of secure coding and shift-left security practices.
• SAST, DAST & SCA Operations
• Manage and operate SAST tools (e.g., Checkmarx, Fortify, Veracode, Sonar Qube).
• Manage DAST platforms (e.g., Burp Suite Enterprise, OWASP ZAP, Netsparker/Invicti).
• Govern SCA tools (e.g., Snyk, Black Duck, Mend/White Source, Dependabot).
• Ensure effective scan coverage, scheduling, tuning, and false-positive reduction.
• Secure SDLC & Dev Sec Ops
• Integrate SAST, DAST, and SCA into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define security gates, policies, and risk acceptance workflows.
• Partner with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security-as-code.
• Vulnerability Management & Remediation
• Analyze findings and prioritize remediation using risk-based approaches.
• Support developers with guidance on secure coding and vulnerability fixes.
• Track remediation progress and validate fixes.
• Governance, Metrics & Reporting
• Define and track application security KPIs and SLAs.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for security leadership and stakeholders.
• Support audits, compliance reporting, and control evidence.
• Continuous Improvement
• Drive maturity improvements across application security testing programs.
• Evaluate new tools and techniques to improve detection and efficiency.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and secure coding standards.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• 7 to10 years of experience in Application Security or Product Security.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tools.
• Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10, CWE, CVE, and secure coding practices.
• Experience leading or mentoring security or App Sec teams.
• Experience with cloud-native and container security.
• Exposure to penetration testing and threat modeling.
• Dev Sec Ops and CI/CD tooling experience.
• Certifications such as CSSLP, GWAPT, CEH, or equivalent.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 8+ years of experience in Application Security Architecture and Design.
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
