The SAP Maintenance Functional Engineer for Master Data Governance (MDG) is responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP MDG processes. This role involves troubleshooting, configuring, and optimizing SAP MDMG functionalities to ensure accurate and efficient master data management. The position demands a deep understanding of SAP MDG functionalities, data governance, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 support for SAP MDG processes addressing and resolving incidents and service requests.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
• Collaborate with Level 1, Level 3 support and cross-functional teams to ensure resolution of complex issues and successful project delivery
• Configure and customize SAP MDG to meet business requirements related to master data management.
• Develop functional specifications for custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW).
• Work with ABAP developers to implement custom solutions
• Analyze current MDG processes and recommend improvements.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across the SAP landscape.
• Implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain high data quality standards.
• Conduct regular data quality audits and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular system health checks and performance tuning.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Participate in SAP implementation and upgrade projects, providing expertise in MDG.
• Conduct testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data within the SAP system

Technology Stack Used & Required Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SAP MDG, with at least 2 years in a support or maintenance role.
• Proficiency in SAP MDG configuration and customization.
• Strong understanding of master data management principles and data governance.
• Experience with integration points between SAP MDG and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI).
• Basic knowledge of ABAP programming and debugging
