Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Lab Operations & Data Workflow Specialist with 6–8 years of experience in development projects involving laboratory operations, formulation innovation, and scientific data automation. The role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing BIOVIA ONE Lab applications, Formula Innovation Suite (FIS), and Pipeline Pilot workflows to ensure efficient, compliant, and reproducible laboratory processes. The ideal candidate will contribute to building robust solutions that integrate scientific operations with IT systems, enabling R&D teams to innovate faster, maintain compliance, and streamline data workflows.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Laboratory Operations (Lab Ops)
• Develop and configure BIOVIA ONE Lab LIMS for sample, test, workflow, and result management.
• Build and maintain BIOVIA ONE Lab LES (Lab Execution System) to ensure standardized and compliant lab procedures.
• Develop and support Compose & Capture modules for authoring SOPs and capturing experimental data.
• Implement Task Planning & Management solutions to assign, track, and monitor lab activities across teams.
• Develop and enhance Inventory & Equipment Management systems for accurate tracking of materials and instruments.
• Formula Innovation Suite (FIS)
• Develop and support formulation design and management workflows on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
• Enable R&D teams to create, optimize, and document product formulas digitally.
• Implement compliance workflows for global regulatory and labeling requirements.
• Build costing and material analysis modules to support formulation decisions.
• Develop collaborative solutions to centralize formulation data across teams and projects.
• Pipeline Pilot
• Design, develop, and maintain data automation workflows for scientific and business processes.
• Automate data cleaning, normalization, validation, and transformation.
• Integrate multiple systems (LIMS, ELN, LES, ERP, instruments) into unified workflows.
• Develop advanced analytics pipelines, statistical models, and machine learning workflows.
• Build data integration pipelines to pull from instruments/databases and push results into dashboards or reports.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Strong expertise in BIOVIA ONE Lab applications (Cispro, Pipeline Pilot, LIMS, LES, Compose & Capture, Task Management, Inventory & Equipment Management).

• Hands-on experience with Formula Innovation Suite (FIS) for formulation design, compliance, and costing.
• Proficiency in Pipeline Pilot workflow development and data automation.
• Technical stack knowledge:
• Operating Systems: Windows & Linux
• Databases: Oracle SQL
• Web Services: REST APIs
• Development: .NET, IIS
• Pipeline Pilot (PLP) scripting and workflow design
• Secondary skills: REST, .NET, SQL optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in scientific IT environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional R&D and IT teams.

Additional Information:

• 6–8 years of professional experience in laboratory informatics, scientific data management, or IT development for R&D environments.
• Proven track record of developing and supporting lab operations projects with BIOVIA ONE Lab tools.
• Experience in formulation-driven industries (pharma, chemicals, food, consumer goods) using FIS.
• Demonstrated success in workflow development, automation, and data integration using Pipeline Pilot.
• Background in developing solutions that support compliance, reproducibility, and scalability from lab to production.
• Experience working in global, multi-site environments with cross-functional teams.
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
