Job Description:

The Cutover Services Lead is a pivotal role within our Cutover Tower, ensuring the seamless delivery of all phases of cutover across various methodologies, including Agile, Hybrid Agile, and Waterfall. This role demands a thorough understanding of cutover tools and approaches, enabling the teams to leverage and deliver high-quality, "out of shelf" solutions. A strong emphasis on the tooling (on premise or cloud) is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Lead the Cutover Tower team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Define and implement the overall cutover strategy, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cutover practices into the development lifecycle seamlessly.

Cutover Planning and Execution:

  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of all cutover activities.

  • Ensure thorough cutover coverage by developing comprehensive cutover plans.

  • Manage and prioritize cutover activities to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Tooling and Technology:

  • Assess, select, and manage cutover tools and platforms that support Agile, Hybrid Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Ensure the effective use of cutover tools.

  • Provide training and support to the team on the usage of cutover tools and best practices.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and enforce quality assurance processes and standards across all cutover activities.

  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of cutover processes to identify areas for improvement.

  • Ensure the identification, documentation, and resolution of defects and issues.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and expectations.

  • Communicate cutover progress, results, and issues to project teams and management.

  • Advocate for quality and cutover best practices within the organization.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in cutover.

  • Implement innovative solutions and improvements to enhance cutover efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Mentor and coach team members, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Cutover Lead or similar role, with expertise in test automation.

  • In-depth knowledge of cutover methodologies (Agile, Hybrid Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.

  • Proficiency in cutover tools and frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of cutover and its importance in the systems implementation lifecycle.

  • Experience with cutover management tools.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
