Provide strategic leadership in budget management for a portfolio of IT projects supporting R&D stakeholders. Lead planning and execution of portfolio and project budget within the constraints of schedule and scope while adhering to Corporate Financial policies for IT projects.

Responsibilities

• ​​Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Quality Management: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

• ​Analyze and report on portfolio budget health enabling leadership and project teams to make data-driven decisions.

• ​Generate and analyze forecasts, prepare variance explanations, and identify risks and opportunities at the project and portfolio level.

• ​Lead aspects of annual planning cycles, including long-range plan, capital plan, and functional plan in close partnership with functional leaders.

• ​Oversee and manage IT Project Managers in monthly forecasting of project and functional budget ensuring adherence to submission timelines.

• ​Submit funding requests with accompanying submission documentation per policy.

• ​Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, and internal IT project teams ensuring clear and effective communication among stakeholders.

• ​Partner with IT Business Operations teams to drive continuous improvement in processes and tools.

• ​Adhere to financial policies and procedures when planning and executing projects.

• ​Ensure resource management, project accountability, and compliance with organizational standards.

• ​Successfully perform all responsibilities with a high degree of self-motivation and autonomy

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline with 8 years experience; Master's Degree with 7 years experience; PhD with 3 years experience.

• Experience in project management, business systems analysis, software development or deployment, and experience managing projects.
