JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an experienced Data Privacy Manager to provide expert guidance on data protection matters for Abbott’s operations in the Benelux region, UK, France, and beyond. This is a key advisory role where you will collaborate with senior leaders, global Legal and IT teams, and privacy stakeholders worldwide.

Based in Zaventem, Belgium, this position is primarily office-based.

• What You’ll Do

• Act as the main point of contact for privacy-related matters across Abbott’s business units.

• Provide practical guidance on data processing activities and compliance with GDPR and other applicable laws.

• Monitor adherence to privacy regulations and company policies, including training and awareness initiatives.

• Support data protection assessments, incident management, and data subject requests.

• Advise on risk assessments, including DPIAs and data transfer evaluations.

• Maintain expert knowledge of privacy laws and best practices, ensuring Abbott remains compliant and proactive.

• What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Security, or Privacy Law (preferred).

• 2–4 years of experience in data protection compliance within a legal, audit, or risk function.

• Strong knowledge of GDPR and other EMEA privacy regulations.

• Privacy or compliance accreditation is highly desirable.

• Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.

• Fluency in French and English; knowledge of health data regulations in France is a plus.

• Independent, detail-oriented, and capable of managing diverse projects with minimal supervision.
