JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Location: Milan, Italy
• On-site presence required 4 days per week
  Department: AlinIQ Product R&D, Abbott Core Diagnostics
  Abbott is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests for our informatics products. You’ll work in an Agile Scrum environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role involves building and maintaining automation tools, performing test case analysis, and supporting product releases and audits.
• Key Responsibilities
• Design and execute manual and automated tests for server, web, and cloud-based applications.
• Develop test cases for black/white box testing and continuous integration.
• Analyze test results, perform root cause analysis, and document findings.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and analysts to ensure test coverage and compliance.
• Support audits and product re-certifications.
• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years in software development or testing.
• Knowledge of SDLC, testing methodologies, and at least one OOP language.
• Experience with test case management tools.
• Fluent in English.
• Preferred Skills
• Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Oracle/PostgreSQL databases.
• JIRA, Jenkins, GitHub, Agile/Scrum.
• Healthcare standards (ASTM, HL7) and quality processes.
