Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a tenured member of the Real Estate function in the given geography/specialized area who owns a specific area of responsibility/topic within the function. Each day, you will improve efficiency, performance, and cost-effective service delivery, by analyzing and proposing the plan of actions for the function. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the systems implementation/upgrade in your area of functional responsibility.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

Participating in defining, implementing, and continuously improving processes, procedures, and action plans, ensuring alignment with Group guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Recommending, developing, and supporting the implementation of special initiatives within the relevant functional area, including real estate–related programs.

Ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date maintenance of ABB-owned/leased/rented property databases; identifies project scope, conducts risk and cost assessments, and prepares project timelines while overseeing the architectural and engineering design process.

Managing the entire bidding process, organizing tender documentation, responding to pre‑bid inquiries, evaluating proposals, making recommendations, and defining negotiation strategies.

Overseeing contractors to ensure delivery of scope, quality, budget, and deadlines; administering project budgets and acting as a technical advisor and spokesperson on critical matters influencing real estate operations.
Qualifications for the Role:
-
You have strong expertise across the full project life cycle, delivering engineering and architectural solutions from land due‑diligence to the realization of approved investments, ensuring cost‑effective and timely project delivery across the real estate portfolio.

You bring at least 3 years of experience in Real Estate, Construction, Civil/Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or related fields—preferably within Corporate Real Estate or industrial environments—and you are at ease communicating in both Italian and English.

You possess solid knowledge of Italian Real Estate regulations (e.g., leasing, purchase/sale), Occupational Health and Safety laws (D.lgs 81/08), and environmental legislation.

You are an analytical problem solver, able to manage complex, multi‑variable situations with limited standardization while maintaining high‑quality output under pressure.

You demonstrate strong management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high level of independence, professional ethics, customer orientation, and a proactive mindset.
