Your role and responsibilities

As a result of growth of our organization ABB, we are currently looking for candidates for a position of Junior Product Engineering Specialist in our factory in Aleksandrów Łódzki. This person will have technical ownership of one of Medium Voltage Drives product families and be responsible to further develop and extend the product portfolio.
The work model for the role is: hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Coordinating within a team of functional experts and product management the schedule for product releases and the local implementation thereof

• Defining replacement and disposition strategy for critical components (scrap, re-vamp, use until end)

• Monitoring factory and field quality on local basis, analysis and implementation of improvement actions

• Optimizing BOM on local level, roll out via product release process

• Definition and study of testing criteria for new mechanical components

• Support to the realization and testing of prototypes

• Making changes to existing mechanical components (3D models and flat drawings)

Qualifications for the role

• Higher technical education (mechanical preferred).

• Experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

• Good knowledge of 2D, 3D CAD tools (proficiency working with Solid Edge is required).

• Background in power electronics is advantage.

• Fluent in English language.

• Previous experience with SAP preferred.

• Ability to work in multidisciplinary and international groups
